Presently, the Cortex-Lite app fails to highlight areas that are potentially wasteful operations. The current experience requires engineering teams to reach out to Cortex for further support.
This is an extremely cost prohibitive, high-touch approach to solving operational waste at these assets, because the dollar value of each deal is so low.
opportunity
Find ways to give engineering teams insights into where they might be overusing energy.
Designs
Users are greeted with an overview of their past 24 hours of energy use. Cards include calls to action allowing users to drill into specific data or view newly generated insights.
The buttons on each card map to an insight icon on the graph below. Insights — observations based on either similar buildings or historical data — are available for every time frame.
Clicking on an insight icon opens a dialog with details about the insight. Users can comment to provide context and communicate with internal and Cortex staff.
